Operett i två akter.
Gabriel von Eisenstein once left his friend Dr Falke drunk and dressed as a bat after a masquerade. Now the time has come for Falke to have his revenge with a practical joke of his own. During Prince Orlofsky’s staged ball, Mrs Eisenstein turns up dressed as a mysterious Hungarian countess.
In this production the “best operetta in the world” has left Vienna, and now takes place in the roaring ‘20s at the Hotel Carlton on the French Riviera. Champagne flows and everyone lives without a thought of yesterday’s war or tomorrow’s stock market crash.
