Swanlake

Myt och magi i förtrollande balettklassiker

Ballet in four acts

Prince Siegfried is captivated by the legend of a princess who has been magically transformed into a swan. Alone he sets off for the lake at night, where he finds out that the Swan Princess is real. Only true love can save her from the curse and the evil sorcerer.

A Russian folktale, together with Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s dramatic and romantic music, has become the ballet of ballets. The double role of the white and black swans is one of classical ballet’s most demanding. Created for the Royal Swedish Ballet in 1964 by the Russian choreographer Natalia Makarova, the Swedish company remains the only one in the world to perform this stunning classical interpretation.
