It is finally time - the restrictions are lifted on October 1 and we get to gather again and enjoy opera and ballet together. From 10 a.m. on September 15, more tickets are available for all the autumn performances. If you have not yet booked a visit to the Opera, you will get a complete picture of the autumn season if you plunge into our digital seasonal program. Read and experience it here.

WHAT DOES THE NEW RESTRICTIONS MEAN FOR THE ROYAL SWEDISH OPERA?

We are extremely happy regarding the announcement from the government and Public Health Agency that the restrictions for number of people in the audience will be lifted starting September 29. This means that we can release more tickets for the performances and concerts this autumn, starting October 1. Stay updated through our newsletter and our social media for more information.

IS IT SAFE TO VISIT THE ROYAL SWEDISH OPERA WITH THE FULL AUDIENCE IN THE AUDITORIUM?

We follow the restrictions and recommendations from the Swedish Public Health Agency closely. According to today's announcement, staying at home in case of symptoms and to continuously keep a good hand hygiene still applies. So we urge our audience to follow these guidelines.

WHEN WILL YOU RELEASE MORE TICKETS FOR THIS AUTUMN'S PERFORMANCES AND CONCERTS?

We will release tickets for the autumn performances and concerts later on September 15, all information about ticket sales are announced on our website, in our newsletter and through social media.

CAN THE ROYAL SWEDISH OPERA PERFORM FOR A FULL AUDITORIUM ON OCTOBER 1?

Yes, we will be able to performance in front of a full auditorium from October 1, provided that the restrictions will not change again.

CAN I CHANGE MY SEAT NOW THAT THE FULL AUDITORIUM IS AVAILABLE?

You can access your operan account on operan.se and change seats on your own, as long as there are seats available when the tickets have been released. Unfortunately, due to the high pressure on our customer service, we do not have the opportunity to help you with the changing seats.

WHAT HAPPENS IF RESTRICTIONS FOR AUDIENCES ARE REINTRODUCED?

If the unfortunate event that we need to reduce the audience numbers again, we will follow the principle that those who booked last are either offered another date where there are seats left or they get a credit on their operan account. If you want a refund to your bank account, please contact customer service.

AS A SUBSCRIBER, CAN I TAKE BACK MY REGULAR SUBSCRIPTION SEAT (-S) THIS SEASON, NOW THAT THE RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED?

Unfortunately, we are unable to handle these matters due to the high workload for our customer service. More information about future subscription seating will be announced later.

HOW MANY SEATS WILL NOW BE AVAILABLE FOR THIS AUTUMN'S PERFORMANCES?

At the Royal Swedish Opera, we have a total of 1153 seats in five different price categories. From October 1, all of the 1153 seats in the auditorium will be available for most performances. Out aim is to ensure that as many people as possible can find a ticket in a price category that suits them.
