How long can love survive? What would you do if a stranger turned up out of nowhere and says that he’s been looking for you for 400 years? A stranger who challenges your dreams, your self-image and the future you’ve planned? Love is surprising. Is eternity a blessing? Or does death set you free? And what scares you the most – daylight or darkness? In an opera based on Bram Stoker’s famous novel from 1897, we follow Mina, whose orderly existence changes forever when she falls in love with a mysterious man.

Dracula premiered at the Royal Swedish Opera just in time for Halloween 2017, and was celebrated by audiences and critics alike. A breath-taking production with everything you could wish for on an opera stage – scary romance, Victorian fashion and magnificent choirs. A broken heart. Revenge. And blood.
