A small opera about BIG EMOTIONS from Young at the Opera
Gun’s mother and father are divorcing and are always fighting. Gun is feeling lonely, but then her cat, Majs, starts to talk to her. A new friendship is born – a relationship that becomes increasingly important in Gun’s insecure life. But who wakes her when she sleepwalks?
A marvelous small-format opera production with a score that sounds like a combination of Tchaikovsky and Tom & Jerry will premiere in Stockholm parks and playgrounds before it embarks on a tour of Sweden. A musical experience everyone can relate to – being afraid of the unknown and finding consolation where you least expect it.
During September and October 2022, the performance will be on tour in Sweden in collaboration with Riksteatern and will be performed in Vilhelmina, Umeå, Söderhamn, Hudiksvall, Älvsjö, Säter, Ljusdal, Sundsvall, Torslanda, Tanumshede and Hallunda. Find more information about the tour here.
