Brutal, dystopian labyrinth that challenges both dancers and audience
Are you the victim of a massive conspiracy? What is true and what is false? In a full-evening ballet inspired by Franz Kafka classic, Der Prozess, draws you into a twisted bureaucratic maze challenging both audiences and dancers. The story takes place in a city reminiscent of Prague, with magical alleys and art-nouveau inspired buildings – a place in which you can get lost. Who are you once the process is over?
Czech choreographer Jiří Bubeníček has created a brand new work for the Royal Swedish Ballet. One that revolves around the most absurd form of bureaucracy and, like Kafka’s writings, is brutal – both physically and psychologically. A work for the entire Royal Swedish Ballet and the Royal Swedish Orchestra!
