THE ROYAL SWEDISH OPERA´S app

The Royal Swedish Opera is committed to making its performances accessible to all audiences. In line with this, we’ve developed an app that makes it easier to follow the performance. The app helps visitors TO get more out of the performance, especially people who for whatever reason cannot read the surtitles. The app provides text reading and/or sign language for a selection of performances at the Opera.

THIS IS THE OPERA APP

With our app, you will be able to listen to a reading of the Swedish text, which appears as surtitles above the main stage. In some cases, you can also receive the performances interpreted in sign language. In the main menu you can see which performances offer the services.

BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE

The audio package for the performance must be downloaded via the app. Doing this in advance is a good idea, as it can take a while.

HEADPHONES

Bring your own headphones to the Opera to use with the app. Ideally, they should be headphones that don’t block out all sound.

BATTERY

Bear in mind that your phone should be well charged.

DURING THE PERFORMANCE

In order to use the app during the performance, simply connect your phone to the Opera’s WIFI. Log in with user name: Textning, password: Textning
