Alessio Cacciamani, bass, began his musical studies at an early age. As a child, he was a member of the Cappella Musicale Pontificia Sistina choir and participated in many concerts and recordings. In 2008, he graduated in bassoon studies at the Licinio Refice Conservatory in Frosinone. Then, in 2010, he completed the second level two-year semester school in bassoon at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and continued his studies with Francesco Bossone, principal bassoonist of the orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
As a bassoonist, Alessio Cacciamani worked throughout Italy in numerous concert productions, both chamber music and orchestral. In the meantime, he began studying opera singing with Teresa Rocchino and in 2016 he completed his bachelor's degree in singing at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, the city where he also made his debut as a soloist, as Commendatore in Don Giovanni. In 2016, his career officially began, when he sang the High Priest of Baal in Verdi's Nabucco at the Terme di Caracalla in Rome.
In 2018, Alessio made his debut as Ramfis in Aida at the Royal Swedish Opera and as Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte in Trieste. In 2019, he returned to the Royal Swedish Opera and debuted as Escamillo in Carmen, then Ramfis in Aida at both the Terme Caracalla in Rome and the Arena di Verona. In 2020, he was in Rome and sang Capellio in Bellini's I Capuleti e i Montecchi. Later, he sang Il piccolo Marat by Mascagni at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In 2021, he made his debut as Colline in La bohème at the Teatro Regio di Torino under the baton of Maestro Daniel Oren, then he was Sparafucile in Rigoletto in Florence and Ramfis in Aida at the Macerata Opera Festival.
In the 2024/2025 season, Alessio Cacciamani sang Turandot and Otello at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Otello and Falstaff at the Opéra National de Paris, Carmen at the Royal Opera, Faust at the Japan Opera Foundation festival, La bohème at the Festival Internacional de Ópera Alejandro Granda, Verdi's Requiem at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine, Norma at the Sofia Opera and Ballet, Catania and Rigoletto at the Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Florence. In the summer, he sang Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Glyndenbourne Festival.
In the 2025/2026 season, he sings Ramfis in Aida at the Royal Swedish Opera, Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Marseille Opera, Commendatore in Don Giovanni at the Fondazione Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti di Modena, Raimondo Bidebent in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Opéra national du Capitole, Toulouse, Jorg in Stiffelio at the Musiktheater an der Wien and Pistola in Falstaff at the Teatro Real de Madrid.
