Annie Fredriksson is a mezzo soprano from Sweden. In July of 2013 she graduated from the Royal College of Music, Stockholm (International Opera course) as a full scholar, studying with Dinah Harris. Annie was generously supported by the Celia and Andrew Curran Scholar supported by a Charles Branchini Award, Opperby Stokowski Scholarship, a Henry Wood award, Sandrews Award, H.T Cedergren, Ruud-Wallenbergs Fond, Frederika Brehmer Stiftelse, Gålö stiftelse and the Josephine Baker Trust Scheme. She was also given the prestigious scholarship from Anders Wall in Stockholm.
Her operatic experiences have included Dorabella in Così fan tutte at the Norwegian Opera & Ballet, Malmö Opera and Folkoperan; Karolka in Jenufa at The Royal Swedish Opera; Venus in Orphée aux enfers by Offenbach, also at Malmö Opera; Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro at Glyndebourne Festival, Norrlandsoperan and Läckö Castle; and Rövarflickan in the newly written piece, Snödrottningen by Benjamin Stearn at Malmö Opera.
In the 2024/2025 season, Annie Fredriksson returned to the Royal Swedish Opera to reprise her role as Karolka in Jenufa.
