The young mezzo-soprano Ebba Lejonclou, who graduated from the Stockholm Academy of Opera in 2024, has already made a name for herself on the Nordic concert and opera scene. She has previously sung Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at the Royal Swedish Opera, and is now returning for the role of Kuchtík in Rusalka.
During the summer, Ebba has sung roles in Mancia's Alessandro in Susa and Hallin's Den starkare at the Vadstena Academy and has been a soloist at the international chamber music festival ValdresSommersymfoni in Norway.
Previous engagements include Nordahl's Herr Arnes penningar at Folkoperan, Naumann's Gustaf Vasa with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra at Konserthuset in Stockholm, Mazzoli's Breaking the Waves at the Vadstena Academy, The Book of Life by Sven-David Sandström with the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra in the Louis de Geer Hall and Vikarien at Folkoperan/Dockteatern Tittut.
Ebba otherwise has a wide range of genres and professional experience in the world of choirs and ensembles. Since 2024, she has been a member of the Slottskyrkans Vokalensemble at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. She has received several scholarships, including the Hillevi Martinpelto Scholarship, the Royal Swedish Opera and the Hans Björklund Foundation Scholarship Fund for Young Talents in the World of Opera, the Kerstin Meyer and Björn Bixelius Scholarship, the Aurora Lilliero Scholarship, the G T Bäckman Scholarship, the Östgöta Gilles Music Scholarship, the Linköping Culture Scholarship and the Jubel Foundation Scholarship.
Ebba was previously educated at the Leipzig College of Music and the Vadstena Academy of Singing and Piano.
