Bulgarian tenor Milen Bozhkov will make his début at the Royal Swedish Opera in the 2025/2026 season as Radames in Aida. He has already performed the role at the National Theatre Opera in Prague, Warsaw National Opera, Salzburg, Dubai, and Saabrücken.
In recent years he has guest appeared at the National Theatre Opera, Prague (Renato des Grieux/Manon Lescaut) Karlsruhe (Turridu/Canio, Cavalleria rusticana/Pagliacci), Theater Krefeld/Mönchengladbach (Pinkerton, Madama Butterfly), Opéra de Metz (Herodes, Salome, and the Prince, Rusalka), at the Summer Festival in Varna (Otello and Cavaradossi, Tosca), at the Plovdiv Amphitheatre (Ismaele, Nabucco), at the National Opera of Albania in Tirana (Gustavo, Un ballo in maschera), etc. His most frequent roles include Don José (Carmen), which he sang at the Nuremberg State Opera, the National Opera of Albania in Tirana and the Kassel State Theatre.
Concert appearances have taken him to Japan, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia, Latvia and Bulgaria. Milen Bozhkov graduated from the Music Academy in Sofia and the Music College in Graz and continues to study with Krassimira Stoyanova.
