An alumna of the Académie de l’Opéra national de Paris, Serbian mezzo-soprano Sofija Petrović is increasingly recognised for her magnetic stage presence and richly expressive timbre, with upcoming major house debuts positioning her among the most compelling vocal talents of her generation.
Future seasons bring her to the Gran Teatre del Liceu and Ópera de la Coruña as Carmen, the Oper Frankfurt as Maria in Boris Godunov, and La Monnaie as Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana, further solidifying her rising international profile.
Recent engagements include Amneri ins Aida at the Oper im Steinbruch and the Birgit Nilsson Festival, Principessa di Bouillon in Adriana Lecouvreur at the Teatro Massimo Bellini, and the title role in Judita by Frano Parać. She also sang Charlotte in Werther and the Foreign Princess in Rusalka with the Croatian National Theatre.
