Timofej Andrijasenko was born in Riga, Latvia, in November 1994, where he began his ballet studies at the National State Academy. In 2009, at the age of 14, he participated in the “Città di Spoleto” International Dance Competition, winning a scholarship; this award allows him to attend the Russian Ballet College in Genoa directed by Irina Kashkova, where he graduated in June 2013.
Over the years he has received numerous awards including the 2010 Positano “Leonide Massine” Award, awarded by Alberto Testa, for high technical and professional quality; GiffoniDanza Award 2010, RomainDanza 2011, after the recommendation of Carla Fracci; NapoliCulturalClassic Award 2012, “Amalfi Dance 2012” award as best young dance talent. He also receives the “Danza & Danza Award” as the best performer of the 2016 season.
He became honorary ambassador of culture for the city of Spoleto. He participates in international competitions, obtaining the Grand Prix at the Spoleto International Dance Competition 2011, the MAB Milan Prize 2011, the TanzOlymp silver medal in Berlin 2013, the gold medal at the XII International Ballet Competition in Moscow 2013 at Bolshoi Theatre.
From March to October 2014, during the 2013-2014 season, he danced in the ballet company of the Rome Opera under the direction of Micha van Hoecke, mainly for leading and solo roles. Since November 2014, at the invitation of Makhar Vaziev, he joined the ballet troupe of the Teatro alla Scala and in 2018 he was promoted to Principal Dancer.
