On Sunday, August 17, we start the autumn season on the square in front of the Opera House with the orchestra, chorus and soloists!
Traditional start to the new season!
On Sunday, August 17, we kick off the autumn season in the square in front of the Opera House - and we close the hugely popular festival Stockholm's Culture Festival (Kulturfestivalen)!
The Royal Swedish Orchestra, the Royal Swedish Opera Chorus and soloists Vivianne Holmberg, Ola Eliasson, Johanna Rudström, Annie Fredriksson, Maria Sanner, Oksana Nozatova, Milen Bozhkow, Lauren Fagan and John-Erik Eleby perform music from music from opera favourites such as Die Zauberflöte, Le nozze di Figaro, Rusalka and Madama Butterfly. The Royal Swedish Opera Chorus also performs parts from Aida and Turandot. All together with the Royal Swedish Orchestra under the direction of Alan Gilbert! There will also be a taste of the new opera Eatnama váibmu (The Heart of the Earth). Presented by opera director Tobias Theorell.
