at the Opera

Welcome to a magical visit at the Royal Swedish Opera - experience our popular Children's Saturdays!

During our 250 years' Jubilée in 2023, we present four new activities for our Children's Saturdays; two new concerts in the Golden Foyer, try out baroque dancing and try out opera singing. As in previous years, you can also take part in a guided tour of the Opera House and try on costumes from the Opera's magical costume archives or try out ballet in our ballet studios. We promise several memorable experiences for the whole family.

TRY OUT BALLET
Learn more about the art of ballet and try a real ballet class!
Approx. 50 mins.

10, 11 a.m. & noon (Studion, via main entrance)
For children between 4 and 6 yrs at 10 a.m.
For children between 7 and 9 yrs at 11 a.m.
For children between 7 and 9 yrs at noon

MAY 4

TRY OUT OPERA
Discover your voice in a new way and try opera singing!
Approx. 50 mins

10 & 11.30 (Main entrance)
For children between 5 and 7 yrs at 10 a.m.
For children between 8 and 10 yrs at 11.30 a.m.

MAY 11

MUSIC BOX OF THE HEART - CONCERT
The Music Box of the Heart is a musical fairy-tale moment in the Guldfoajén with soprano Jessica Elevant and cellist Åse-Maria Bygland Larsen.
Approx. 30 mins.

JUNE 1

GUIDED TOUR AND TRY OUT COSTUMES
Learn more about the Opera House and try on costumes!
