Celebrate the Swedish National Day with a grand musical party in Hagaparken's early summer greenery! The Royal Swedish Opera, together with the city of Solna and the Swedish Royal Court, invites you to a national day celebration on June 6, 2026, according to tradition.
Welcome on June 6 in Hagaparken!
Bring friends and family to the large lawn below Koppartälten in the Haga Park (the Copper Tents) – and celebrate with sing-alongs, dancing, music and a picnic.
Daily program
FAMILY ACTIVITIES
11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
In the family area up by the Copper Tents there will be try-out activities for all ages. Become a ballerina with pointe shoes and a tulle skirt, or dress up as a fairy tale character from the world of theatre with borrowed costumes from the Young Opera and Solna Cultural School. Borrow toys and games, get book tips and listen to exciting storytelling with Solna library.
HISTORICAL WALKING / GUIDED TOUR
11 a.m., 12.30 p.m., 2 p.m. in Swedish, 3.30 p.m. in English
Learn more about Hagaparken and the Royal National City Park! Duration approx. 60 min. Tickets can be collected from the information tent from 10.45 a.m. Limited number of places, first come, first served.
GUIDED TOURS OF GUSTAV III'S PAVILION
12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. in Swedish, 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. in English
Arranged by the Royal Palaces. Price 140 SEK for adults, 70 SEK for children (7–17 years), 120 SEK for students. Limited number of places/tour. More information and ticket booking here »
Main Stage Program
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
1.30 p.m.
Every year, the City of Solna awards three cultural scholarships to people aged 8 and up. The Kraus Scholarship, established in memory of the composer and Gustav III's court conductor Joseph Martin Kraus (1756-1792), is awarded to young talents (16-21 years) in classical music. This year's Kraus scholarship holder performs as a soloist. The Kraus Scholarship jury consists of musicians from the Royal Swedish Opera.
EARLY SUMMER CONCERT WITH BALLET
2 – 3.15 p.m.
Soloists from the Royal Swedish Opera, the Royal Swedish Orchestra, the Royal Swedish Opera Chorus and dancers from the Royal Swedish Ballet perform excerpts from the ballet and opera repertoire as well as Swedish summer music with sing-alongs. The Solna Cultural School children's chorus performs together with the Royal Swedish Orchestra. Under the baton of maestro Sergej Bolkhovets and presented by Katarina Aronsson.

Please take a bike or walk to the park as there are very limited parking spaces in Hagaparken. More parking spaces are available in Frösundavik, about 700 m walk from Koppartälten. Follow the signs to the event.
Please take public transport as SL has increased traffic from Stockholm with line 515 to Haga Norra station during the day.

Other information
Coffee, food and drinks are sold in Koppartälten and around the park. Of course, you can bring your own picnic. Please note that there is a ban on barbecuing in the entire Hagaparken.
Toilets will be available in connection with the event. A drinking water station and bottle distribution are located at the information tent near Koppartälten. There are also waste stations with source separation nearby.
The event is free of charge. The daily program may change depending on the weather.
