Celebrate the National Day with us at Haga – PRE-SUMMER CONCERT with BALLET 

The Royal Swedish Opera, together with the city of Solna and the Swedish Royal Court, invites you to a national day celebration on June 6, 2023, according to tradition. Bring friends and family – and celebrate with singing, dancing, music and picnics in the park.

The Royal Swedish Orchestra, the Royal Swedish Opera's soloists, the Royal Swedish Opera Chorus and the Royal Swedish Ballet perform excerpts from the repertoire as well as Swedish summer classics with sing-along. The children’s chorus from Solna cultural school performs together with the Royal Swedish Orchestra.

11 A.M. – 4 P.M. Family activities in the park
Experiences and playful creation for all ages by the Copper Tents (Koppartälten). Free of charge.

11.30 A.M. & 1 P.M. The story of Gustav III – Guided FAMILy tour
Hear the exiting, horrible and beautiful story about Gustav III’s life and how the park of Haga came about thanks to him. The tour takes about 1h and 15 mins. Meet up at the information tent where tickets can be picked up from 11 a.m.. Free of charge. From 6 years age.

11.15 A.M. & 12.45 P.M. Discover the English park – guided tour for adults
Enjoy a walk and learn more about the park of Haga's nature, culture and history. The tour takes about 1h and 15 mins. Meeting point at the information tent where tickets can be picked up from 11 a.m. Free of charge.

12 – 4 P.M. Guided tours in Gustav III´s pavilion
On the hour, at noon, 1, 2, 3 p.m. in Swedish. English tour at 3 p.m. SEK 120/adults, SEK 60 /children (7-17 years and students). Limited number of tickets.

MAIN STAGE PROGRAMME

1.30 P.M. SCHOLARSHIP CEREMONY
Every year, the city of Solna awards cultural scholarships to children from the age of 8 and up.
The Kraus Scholarship is awarded you young talents in classical music and this years' Kraus scholarship holder performs as a soloist during the concert.

2 P.M. - TO APPROX. 3.20 P.M. Early summer concert with ballet
Soloists from the Royal Opera, the Royal Swedish Orchestra, the Royal Swedish Opera Chorus and dancers from the Royal Swedish Ballet perform excerpts from the repertoire as well as Swedish summer classics with sing-along. The children’s chorus from Solna cultural school performs together with the Royal Swedish Orchestra.

The program is preliminary and may change depending on weather. Dress rehearsal on the stage takes place from around 11.30 a.m. Food and drinks are served at several places around the park. Feel free to bring your own picnic (Please note that there is a fire ban throughout the park).
