Celebrate the National Day June 6 with the Royal Swedish Opera in Hagaparken!

Pre-summer concert with ballet
11 am to 4 pm


The Royal Swedish Opera – together with the City of Solna and the Royal Court – invite you to a day of celebration on June 6 in Hagaparken! This year in the presence of TT.RR.HH. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, as well as County Governor Sven-Erik Österberg, the Chairman of the Municipal Board Pehr Granfalk, the Governor of the Royal Palaces Staffan Larsson and the CEO of the Royal Opera, Birgitta Svendén.

Join us from 11 am to 4 pm - a program packed with activities for the whole family. Bring along your friends and your loved ones - celebrate the National Day with music, dancing, singalongs and a picnic in beautiful Hagaparken.

PROGRAMME

11 am – 4 pm Family activities in the park
Inspiring experiences and creative activities for all ages nearby Koppartälten. Try stage costumes, pointe shoes and acrobatics outdoor. Storytelling, black-out poetry and imaginative weaving. Create your own theatre masks and bookmarks. Join an artist on an "arts-and-plants"-walk.
Solna kulturskola invites you to a dance-along and a collective drum circle.
Free of charge.

11.30 am, 12 noon, 1 pm and 3 pm Gustav III, a fairy tale
Hear the gripping, terrible yet beautiful story about King Gustav’s life and how, Haga Park came to be, thanks to him. Guided walks for the whole family, from 6 years of age. Duration: about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Meeting point: the information tent, where tickets are available from 11 am.
Free of charge.

11 am–4 pm Visit Haga Park Museum, Koppartälten
The Royal Court invites children to activities in Haga parkmuseum.
Free entrance.

12 noon–4 pm Guided tours of the Gustav III's Pavilion
English tour at 3 pm, SEK 100, 7–17 years/student SEK 50, 0–6 years free of charge.

1.30 pm Scholarship awards ceremony
The City of Solna awards young talents in the cultural field from 8 years and older. The Kraus scholarship is awarded a talent within classical music – the recipient also gives a performance.

2 pm Pre-summer concert with ballet
Starring the Royal Swedish Orchestra, The Royal Swedish Opera Choir, soloists
from the Royal Swedish Opera and dancers from the Royal Swedish Ballet. There
will also be a sing-a-long, and the Solna Kulturskola’s children’s choir will perform with The Royal Swedish Orchestra. Introduction by the CEO of the Royal Swedish Opera, Birgitta Svendén, together with the Chairman of the Municipal Board Pehr Granfalk and the Governor of the Royal Palaces Staffan Larsson. H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria makes her official National day speech during the concert.
Duration: about 1 hour and 25 minutes.

INFORMATION

The programme may change depending on the weather. Food and drink is available at several locations in the park. Please note that grilling is not permitted in Haga Park due to the risk of fire.
