Pass on a cultural heritage and give young dancers the chance to develop!
What does the project entail?
The goal of the fundraiser is to boost Swedish ballet. Young dancers are an important step in ensuring the resurgence of classical ballet in Sweden and developing the stars of the future and carrying the legacy of Gustaf III into the future. In the fall of 2025, the Royal Swedish Ballet will welcome seven young, promising dancers to the new program, which will be an important link between education and professional life, where young dancers are offered the opportunity to develop in a professional environment. The seven dancers who are included in the program during the first year have been handpicked through international auditions and direct recruitment.
The initiative is made possible by a long-term donation from Mats Hallvarsson, and together with you, we can develop the program further, with the aim of creating an entire youth company in the future.
During their year with us, the dancers will be part of the Royal Swedish Ballet's daily operations. Our goal is that after the program ends, they will be well equipped for a successful career in ballet. You can also help promote the future of classical ballet: all donations are welcome!
