CEO of the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen since 2018.
Former opera director of the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen 2000–2011 and of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London 2011–2017.
Since 1993, has directed more than 80 opera, musical and drama productions at Teatro alla Scala, Vienna State Opera, Covent Garden, Deutsche Oper Berlin and Bregenzer Festspiele, among others.
