Bass Andreas Lundmark made his Royal Swedish Opera debut in 2014 and has since appeared in numerous productions at the Opera. In autumn 2026, he sings the role of a Jailer in Puccini’s Tosca.
Andreas Lundberg studied piano at the Malmö Academy of Music and voice at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm before studying at the University College of Opera in Stockholm from 2002 to 2005.
He made his Royal Swedish Opera debut as the Commissioner in La traviata in 2014. Since then, his roles have included the Adviser in the Short Stories opera Jean-Joseph, Nicola in Fedora, the Innkeeper/Second Chorus Singer in Der ferne Klang, the Inquisitor in Candide, Maestro Spinelloccio in Gianni Schicchi, Baron Douphol in La traviata, Djurman in Löftet and the Minister (Second Journeyman) in Wozzeck. During the 2025/26 season, he returned as the Innkeeper/Second Chorus Singer in Der ferne Klang.
Between 2006 and 2012, Lundberg appeared regularly at Göteborg Opera, where his roles included Pjuke in Bröderna Lejonhjärta, Wagner in Faust, Antonio in Le nozze di Figaro, Zaretsky in Eugene Onegin, Kuligin in Káťa Kabanová, Frank in Die Fledermaus and Hermann Ortel in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg.
At other Swedish venues, he has sung roles including Gifford in B. Tommy Andersson’s William at the Vadstena Academy, Betto in Gianni Schicchi at Folkoperan/Parkteatern, Haly in L’italiana in Algeri at Läckö Castle and Escamillo and Zuniga in Carmen at Opera på Skäret.
Andreas Lundberg is also active as a concert singer and has appeared as a soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony as well as Mozart’s and Fauré’s Requiem at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall.
