Bass Andreas Lundberg studied at the Malmö Academy of Music (piano) and the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm (singing) before studying at the Stockholm Academy of Opera from 2002-2005.
He made his debut at the Royal Swedish Opera in 2014 as the Commissioner in La traviata. He has since appeared as the Adviser in the Short Stories opera Jean-Joseph, Nicola in Fedora, the Innkeeper/Second Chorus Member in Der ferne Klang, the Inquisitor in Candide, Master Spinelloccio in Gianni Schicchi, Baron Duophol in La traviata, the Animal Man in The Promise and the Minister (Second appentice) in Wozzeck. In the spring of 2026 he will once again sing the role of the Innkeeper/Second Chorus Member in Franz Schreker's opera Der ferne Klang.
Andreas sang the following roles at the Gothenburg Opera 2006-2012: Pjuke (The Brothers Lionheart), Wagner (Faust), Antonio (Le nozze di Figaro), Zaretsky (Eugene Onegin), Kuligin (Katja Kabanova), Frank (Die Fledermaus), Haly (L'italiana in Algeri, concertante), Hermann Ortel (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg), The Priest/An Old Prisoner (Lady MacBeth from Mtsensk), Gazella (Lucrezia Borgia). He has also sung Theseus in Fedra (Rameu's Hippolytes et Aricie), internship role at the Folkoperan (2005), Gifford (William) by B Tommy Andersson at the Vadstena Academy (2006), Betto (Gianni Schicchi) at the Folkoperan/Parkteatern (2008), Haly (L'italiana in Algeri) at Läckö Castle (2008), Escamillo/Zuniga (Carmen) at the Opera on Skäret, (2011).
On concert stages, Andreas has sung, among other things, Antonio in Le nozze di Figaro at the Stockholm Concert Hall (concertante) and has been a soloist in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Mozart's Requiem and Fauré's Requiem at the Tokyo Opera City Hall.
