Flagship name of La Scala ballet company, Nicoletta Manni was born and raised in Santa Barbara Galatina (Lecce, Italy).
She received her initial training locally at her mother’s ballet school, at 13 she is admitted at the 4th course at the of la Scala Ballet School. In 2009, after being graduated at age 17, she joined the Berlin Staatsballett under the direction of Vladimir Malakhov, where she stays for three seasons, performing in all the classical and contemporary productions.
Under the invitation of Makhar Vaziev, she returned to Italy, joining La Scala Ballet Company, having her debut as Myrtha (Giselle) and Odette/Odile in Rudolf Nureyev’s Swan Lake. A year later, at the age of 22, she was promoted to Principal Dancer of La Scala Ballet. Since then, she has danced all the main roles, alongside international guest stars, and performed many new creations, as well as masterpieces of the classical repertoire.
In November 2023 she was nominated Étoile of Teatro alla Scala, on stage with open curtains by the director of the company M.Legris and the intendent D. Meyer after a performance of Onegin with R. Bolle.
In October 2024, together with her husband and principal dancer Timofej Andrijashenko, she created the show La gioia di danzare with which she made her debut in Lecce at Teatro Politeama.
