Over three Sundays in May 2026, a cross-border experience was presented in the Golden Foyer, by and with students in opera, theater and circus. Prepare for a captivating evening where art and the audience meet without filters.

Time for the highlight of the year, the 2066 Annual Banquet! We gather as usual in the Golden Foyer at the Royal Opera House for an evening of conviviality. Expect a magnificent dinner, fantastic music and as always: the best entertainment the world of opera has to offer!
In times like these, it is extra important to come together and remember what is important in life.
They will never think we are afraid!
Your Marshal
The year is 2066 and as a member of a mysterious and influential society you are invited to the Annual Banquet. A decadent gala dinner where opera singing and champagne flow. You are invited to let go of your inhibitions and, together with the actors, explore the role of opera in a society characterized by class divisions and “dying art forms”. During the evening, opera, acting and circus are mixed to create an immersive thriller performance about art, consumption and class in the final stages of capitalism.
Recommended age limit: from 16 years
Recommended dresscode: gala
The performance includes loud and sudden noises plus flashing lights and smoke
