From shorter workshops in class, to involving an entire school over a school year: read more about Creative School with Young Opera.
The Young Opera is a very established player in Creative School, with a rich offering for all age groups. We have extensive experience working with aesthetic learning processes in schools, and meeting students in all types of classes. We investigate what it feels like to dare to be heard and listened to, to dare to be seen and take a place. Our educators are responsive, have the children in focus and ensure that all students are involved in the creative process. All of our activities can be carried out with creative school resources.
We do both small and large Creative School projects. It can be anything from a workshop in the classroom, to involving an entire school over an entire school year with activities both at the school and in the Opera House. Our activities are suitable for children and young people of all ages and do not require any prior knowledge.

What is Creative School?
The Swedish Arts Council distributes the Creative School grant, which aims to ensure that children and young people can take part in professional cultural activities in school. The grant is distributed annually and covers compulsory school grades 1-9. Creative School is applied for by the school principal and the application for the grant for the 2027/2028 academic year is submitted in early 2027.
