Ola Eliasson.

Swedish baritone Ola Eliasson has been a member of the Royal Swedish Opera’s soloist ensemble since 1997 and has appeared in a large number of productions at the Opera. In autumn 2026, he returns as the Sacristan in Puccini’s Tosca, a role he has sung several times previously at the Royal Swedish Opera.

Ola Eliasson studied at the Royal College of Music and the University College of Opera in Stockholm. Since joining the Royal Swedish Opera in 1997, he has appeared as a soloist in some 50 opera productions, performing a broad repertoire ranging from Mozart and Rossini to Strauss, Puccini and Giordano.

His roles at the Royal Swedish Opera include Count Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro, Papageno in The Magic Flute, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, Figaro in The Barber of Seville and the title role in Don Giovanni. He has also sung Olivier in Capriccio, Faninal in Der Rosenkavalier, Silvio in Pagliacci, Carlo Gérard in Andrea Chénier, Dr Malatesta in Don Pasquale, Schaunard in La bohème, and Angelotti and the Sacristan in Tosca.

During the 2024/25 season, Eliasson appeared in Tosca, Sweeney Todd and La bohème at the Royal Swedish Opera. In the 2025/26 season, he sang in Der ferne Klang and Turandot and appeared as a soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in the first two concerts celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Royal Swedish Orchestra.

Ola Eliasson has also appeared at other Swedish opera houses and venues, including Göteborg Opera, Drottningholm Palace Theatre and Folkoperan in Stockholm.
