This year 2026 the Royal Swedish Orchestra celebrate it's 500 year!
For 500 years, the Royal Swedish Orchestra has played a central role in Swedish musical life; since 1526 as the royal orchestra and since 1773 also as the Royal Swedish Opera orchestra. Today, the Royal Swedish Orchestra consists of 105 musicians.
