Experience the magic at the Opera this holiday season

Christmas at the Opera is a time filled with joy, music and tradition. Here you can enjoy magnificent performances, concerts and activities that brighten up the Christmas holidays. Whether you are looking for a romantic evening or a family activity, the Opera is the perfect place to create memories. And don't miss out: it will be the last Christmas in several years as the Opera House will finally begin its long-awaited renovation in late autumn 2026.

Performances to suit everyone

Grab the last seats to the immensely popular ballet Swan Lake, or why not experience the Mozart classic opera Die Zauberflöte with guaranteed recognition of the arias. Or let yourself be seduced by the visual explosion Eatnama váibmu (The Heart of the Earth), the first opera in Northern Sami!

Christmas activities for children and young people

The opera also offers child-friendly activities during Christmas. Costume fitting, try-outs and interactive music experiences mean that even the youngest can take part in the magical atmosphere. An excellent way to introduce children to culture and the performing arts in a playful environment.
