Elin Rombo July 31 2026
She is one of Sweden's brightest stars on the international opera scene. Elin Rombo made her debut at the Royal Swedish Opera during her studies and has been appointed court singer and member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. This autumn, Elin will appear in both From Gershwin to Bernstein with the Royal Swedish Royal Orchestra and in Die Fledermaus.

Alexander Ekman August 7 2026
He is one of Sweden's leading choreographers and has collaborated with around 50 dance companies worldwide. Alexander Ekman began his career as a dancer at the Royal Swedish Opera. He is behind acclaimed performances such as Midsummer Night's Dream and Escapist. In the fall of 2026, he will be bring back Cacti in the Chamber/Cacti double bill with the Royal Swedish Ballet.

Christina Nilsson 2025
In 2025, world-renowned soprano Christina Nilsson made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in the title role of Aida. She received standing ovations and unanimous praise from the press and audience. It was in the same role that she had her big breakthrough at the Royal Swedish Opera in 2018. In the autumn of 2026, she will be performing Tosca at the Royal Swedish Opera.

Malin Byström 2020
Internationally sought-after soprano. Has performed on major opera stages such as the Metropolitan in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Was named Female Singer of the Year at the International Opera Awards in 2018. Has received the Birgit Nilsson scholarship and is a court singer. Performing in Tosca at the Royal Swedish Opera in 2026.

Anne Sofie von Otter 2009
One of the foremost mezzo-sopranos of our time with a broad repertoire in classical music but also with newly written music and bold crossing of genre boundaries. Appointed court singer in 1995. Soon performing in the opera Melancholia with music by Mikael Karlsson.

Mikael Karlsson 2016
Mikael has written music for such diverse things as the computer game Battlefield - Bad Company as opera, music for dance, chamber music and film music. Has collaborated with Lykke Li, Kleerup and Anna von Hausswolff, among others. He has composed the music for Ekman's Midsummer Night's Dream and Escapist at the Royal Swedish Opera. This autumn he is back with the opera Melancholia.

Nina Stemme 2019
The world-famous soprano Stemme has performed on all major opera stages and has been praised for an outstanding singing technique and a stage presence that arouses strong emotions. Known for deeply personal interpretations of complex heroines such as Isolde, Brünnhilde and Kundry, all from operas by Richard Wagner. Has been named the world's best opera singer and is fully booked for several years to come. Has received, among other things, the Birgit Nilsson Prize, the world's largest music prize in classical music, and is a court singer. Performing in concert with the Royal Swedish Orchestra this autumn.

Alexander Ekman 2015
Two-time Ekman! Educated at the Opera's student school and began his dance career at the Royal Swedish Ballet. Went on to the Cullberg Ballet and the Nederlands Dans Theatre. With the motto of always surprising, he has also staged dance performances with everything from food wars and midsummer with a pole, snaps and sex scenes. His Cacti is performed in Chamber/Cacti during the autumn of 2026.
