A marvelous small-format opera production with a score that sounds like a combination of Tchaikovsky and Tom & Jerry - for children from the age of 6 yrs!
A major opera event in the small format, a musical combination of Tchaikovsky and Tom & Jerry! Sleeping Awake (Sova vaken) is the story of Gun, her cat Majs and what happens when Gun’s parents suddenly decide to separate. A divorce story told from a child’s point of view about feeling alone and afraid of the unknown but finding unexpected comfort in a singing cat. After a much-acclaimed tour of Sweden with Riksteatern in 2022, the production has arrived at the Opera House for all children above the age of six.
For children from the age of 6 yrs. A collaboration with Riksteatern.
