Farewell Concert at the Opera
Classical favourites meet music by contemporary composer Jacob Mühlrad, in both original and newly arranged versions, as Music Director Alan Gilbert leads the Royal Swedish Orchestra, the Royal Swedish Opera Chorus and vocal soloists in an elegant concert. A musical farewell gift to the audience before the Opera House closes for renovation.

The Nutcracker
The Nutcracker, choreographed by Pär Isberg, is one of the Royal Swedish Ballet’s greatest successes. The plot has been updated with Elsa Beskow’s fairytale characters, and Tchaikovsky’s dance fantasy has become a Christmas tradition for audiences of all ages. This year’s performance will be staged at Cirkus.

What happens when someone unexpected steps into your world? The much-loved children’s ballet Who’s There? returns – an imaginative story about two lonely children whose worlds suddenly collide. In spring 2027, it will become Young Opera’s first production at the Swedish Museum of Performing Arts.
